Dina Dodson

WHRO Digital Liaison

Dina grew up listening to her dad’s silky-smooth voice everywhere she turned, from the FM dial to the local TV shows. She still has the sweetest memories of his voice echoing through the sun-kissed Dalmatian villages, where the family spent long summer vacations, and dad played with his band. She can still hear him singing Tom Jones’ Green, Green Grass of Home reverberating in her heart. A love of music was instilled in her.

In her teenage years, she studied classical ballet and piano, however, they didn't follow her into adulthood. It was 1984 when Prince and The Revolution released Purple Rain. Prince’s posters blanketed the walls of her teenage bedroom. “He is a musical genius,” she thought. Prince remains her favorite musician to this day. Her biggest regret is not seeing Prince perform live in concert.

WHRO Public Media has been her adult life's work and passion for more than 22 years now. Dina also loves teaching and practicing yoga and mindfulness meditation.
